You’ll find having a Gap Year overseas very rewarding. The four main achievements you will receive from the IcFEM Gap Programme, are Independence, New Skills, Confidence and Cultural Awareness.
You’ll have more independence as a result of being in a foreign country, maybe with no one you know, and budgeting your own money. From this you’ll learn new skills and improve the old ones, which you’ll find valuable to you in every day life.
After spending 2 weeks to 6 months in Kenya you’ll have experienced a different culture than the one you are used to at home. Learning new skills and realising what skills you already had will build your confidence.
